The bags are out of the cupboard and the heaps are growing but we’re not exactly ready, and I’m not feeling particularly fit. We walked 12 miles of coast path last Thursday when it was hot, and it was hard work. But most of our route won’t be quite as up and down as the coast path.
We spent the end of this afternoon trying to get the grass cut – everything is growing incredibly quickly, except new plants which are immediately mown down by slugs. Hate to think what it will be like by the time we get back.
Anyway, time to start thinking positive thoughts (and have a glass of wine)
Very exciting! A few more miles and you’ll be leaping up and down hills like a gazelle! x

In honour of your epic journey, I wanted to make a donation to a small charity local to you guys. A quick google revealed Greenacres Animal Rescue (greenacresrescue@live.co.uk ), based at Talbenny, Nr Haverfordwest. They “rescue, rehabilitate and rehome” a range of animals and provide a lifetime sanctuary to those that can’t be rehomed. They also need ‘foster carers’, so if you’re missing pet company but don’t want to be tied down to ownership, perhaps you could call in?! This one’s for my darling Tiga, too xxx Lots of love, Ro xxx
